Noeline Kyle writes and publishes biography, memoir writing, women’s history and text on how to write more professional family and local histories. Her books include Her Natural Destiny: the education of women in New South Wales, (1986); We Should’ve Listened to Grandma: Women and Family History, (1988), Memories & Dreams: A Biography of Nurse Mary Kirkpatrick, (2001); Writing Family History Made Very Easy (2007); How to Write & Publish Your Family Story in Ten Easy Steps (2011), and A Greater Guilt: Constance Emilie Kent and the Road Murder (2009). Recent books are Finding Florence, Maude, Matilda, Rose: Researching and writing about women in family history (2013) and Citing historical sources: a manual for family historians (2013).

Noeline was awarded an Emeritus Professorship from Queensland University of Technology for her distinguished career and contribution to history and education in 2001 and is an Honorary Professor at the University of Sydney. Noeline has been working with and supporting amateur historians for more than 30 years during which time she has conducted many workshops, seminars and talks on writing family stories, memoir and Australian history. Noeline is a member of the Society of Women Writers, History Council of NSW, Macleay River Historical Society, a life member of Newcastle Family History Society and maintains membership of several local family history groups.
